About me

I am an architect with my own studio in Berlin and roots in Switzerland. After studying at ETH Zürich and several years of project work at Berlin practices, I now work independently at the intersection of design, construction and visualisation. For me, these three are not separate disciplines but one continuous process, in which the first idea, the constructive solution and the spatial image all depend on one another.

At the centre of my work is a careful approach to what is already there. Material integrity, ecological building and the respectful continuation of existing structures shape my projects, as does a close reading of each place, its history and its conditions. From apartment renovations to competitions and urban studies, I design spaces that are conceptually rigorous yet appear self-evident.

A second focus of my work lies in architectural visualisation. Through 3D modelling and rendering I make projects tangible early on, as a tool within my own design process as well as in communicating with clients, juries and the public. A good image tests an idea before it is built and makes atmosphere, light and material negotiable long before the first stone is laid.

I work in German, English and French and am active both in Berlin and for Swiss practices, freelance, project based or part time and remote. Alongside my independent work, I am also part of the studio +ch studio berlin, where I work together with my business partner on larger projects and competitions.
